5-time Grammy Award winner, Donna Summer, died this morning after battling with lung cancer. She was 63.
Summer was suffering from lung cancer and was trying to keep it quiet while she continued her battle. She died this morning in Florida.
Her family released a statement following Summer’s passing this morning saying,”We are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy.”
Donna Summer rose to prominence in the ’70s with her hits “Last Dance,” “Hot Stuff” and “Bad Girls.”
Mac Miller has collaborated on a track w/ a fan from Pittsburgh, PA — who suffers from T-cell lymphoma.
Mac Miller, who met 18-year-old Bobby Stewart in December when he donated $50,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, took him to I.D. Labs to work on this collective effort.
“To be with Mac is a blessing. He’s lyrically amazing,” said Stewart. “Hip hop is my passion. So to be able to be with Mac Miller, who’s a Pittsburgh legend… Wiz Khalifa shoutout.”
“Feeling like your music really does something for the world makes it all worth it, no matter what,” added Mac. “From now on, no matter what happens for the rest of my life, no one can take that away from me.”
