Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur, was contacted for her thoughts on seeing her late son on the stage at Coachella. She agrees, as most do, that it was pretty awesome.

A rep for Afeni Shakur says she was postively thrilled with the Tupac hologram. Ms. Shakur did not attend the event, but watched the performance live online. The rep for Ms. Afeni says that Dr. Dre did contact her for her approval to incorporate 2Pac into the show, and Pac’s mother said yes. As a thank you, Dre donated a sum of money to the rapper’s charity — The Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation.
